I did say I've become too fat, right? In an effort to control the looming obesity, I have forced myself to start walking. I started yesterday. The goal was to walk from the office to the condo (I plan to do this 3x a week). I semi failed because I stopped at Eunos MRT. I only stopped because my thighs felt like they were on fire (all that friction caused by the fatty thighs rubbing together) and my feet were very sore. I did not wear rubber shoes you see. I only brought flip flops with me. Hahaha! Yeah I'm an idiot. I'm still testing this out, okay? So forgive me if my walking attire was a dress (
this dress) and flip flops. I attempted to wear short leggings (yeah, the calf-length ones and I had planned to fold it up to my thighs so they don't show beyond my dress) to counter the friction caused by my thighs rubbing but it was an EPIC fail because when I'd folded it up to my thighs it hurt like a bitch! Fatty thighs remember? And so my fatty thighs rubbed all the way back home... or at least till Eunos MRT station. I went to Kallang Leisure Park today and attempted to walk home. Google's screwed me again (
the first time being this). I actually thought I was going to make it all the way home by walking. Launching the googlemap app on my phone, these are the directions Google spewed out:
- Walk along Stadium Blvd - CHECK
- Continue onto Old Airport Road - CHECK
- Turn left at Cassia Crescent - FUCKING WRONG!
- Turn right at Guillemard Rd
- Turn left at Lorong 30 Geylang
- Turn right at Geylang Rd
- Turn left at Lorong 37 Geylang
It should have been turn left at Cassia Link because this is the road directly accessible from Old Airport Road. Cassia Crescent is way inside this neighborhood that there's no way you could've directly turned left from Old Airport Road. I confirmed this when I looked at the neighborhood map at Dakota MRT station. See, I'd seen Cassia Link but did not turn left there because I looked for Cassia Crescent. But the next streets were all Jalan this, Jalan that. I stopped at Dakota MRT to look at the map and when I saw that if I'd continued along Old Airport Road I'd have ended up at Tanjong Katong Road! It's further up my destination and I'd probably be panting like crazy then. So yeah you guessed it - I took the train at Dakota and got off Paya Lebar (my station). Eff this. It would've been good if I'd have been able to walk all the way home. It was only 3+ miles. Not too bad. I guess I could have walked back to Cassia Link but I was already tired. I just wanted to get home. Oh well. Anyway I gotta send Google an email to change the name of the street.
